The Thompson Center on Lourdes is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the mental, physical and emotional well-being of adults, age 50+.
Our center focuses on fighting the effects of loneliness, isolation and depression in seniors by offering opportunities for education, socialization and wellness.
Our History

In March 2016, with the closing of the downtown Appleton “Thompson Community Center”, many seniors wondered and worried where they could turn to for the sense of community they found at TCC.
Almost immediately, the independent, non- denominational, free-standing, Thompson Center on Lourdes, corporation was founded. With an initial staff of one and the support of many volunteers, the mission moved forward.
Our Facility

Today, Thompson Center on Lourdes operates on the grounds of St. Bernadette Parish in the former school house building. The center includes a gym, recreation rooms, and a dinning hall, where we host a vast array of programs and activities that encourage education, socialization and wellness.
The community of participants who come from across the Fox Cities continues to grow and thrive in this facility. Our now staff of three along with the multitude of dedicated volunteers continue to work diligently to empower and enrich the lives of each and every participant.
